Sports high quality photographer in Toronto gives some tricks to have the perfect photos from any important event of your life. Some photographers always work with an assistant, while others determine if they need one based on the size of your event. If they do not always work with an assistant, adding an assistant or second photographer to your contract will most likely incur an additional fee.
Start your search by reading reviews from recent newlyweds and browsing local listings, like the ones on The Knot Marketplace. Carefully review potential photographers’ websites and blogs to check out photos of other weddings they’ve shot, which will give you an idea of their style. How do they capture the moments important to you, like a mother bustling her daughter’s gown or an emotional first look? The design of the website may also have clues about the photographer’s personality and sensibility. Check out their Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages too, if possible. Is the feedback from clients positive? How does the photographer respond? How do they interact with their Instagram followers, do they seem friendly and personable? You get the idea.
Event photography tip : Work around fluorescent lights. If your event takes place in a large conference hall or meeting room, you’re likely stuck with fluorescent lights. Don’t turn to flash to fix this — instead, color balance settings will be key for your corporate event photography. “Fluorescent lighting makes for a color balance challenge,” says Connell. “The main thing you have to pay attention to is the color — use a custom white balance to even out the fluorescent tone you get. By correcting for that while you’re shooting, you avoid that jaundice skin tone color that can be created by that lighting situation. If you’re inside, you can bounce light off the walls or ceiling to make for a more natural feel.”
Use an external flash when necessary: An external flash will transform your event photography in medium light and in darker environments. The flash that is built-in to the camera adds head-on light that creates an awful look. Instead, put an external flash on the top of the camera and point it upwards and slightly back with an attached *small* diffuser (the kind that pops right over the top of the flash head). This works wonders in indoor situations because you are sending the light bouncing off the ceiling, which diffuses it and makes it much more flattering on people’s faces. The difference is astounding.
